Elena Cogato Lanza est architecte et docteur ès sciences. Elle est collaboratrice scientifique à l'EPFL (Laboratoire Architectures territoriales) et à la Fondation Braillard Architectes. Son enseignement et ses recherches portent sur l'histoire de l'urbanisme et sur le projet territorial contemporain. Elle a publié "Maurice Braillard et ses urbanistes en 2003", ainsi que de nombreuses contributions dans des ouvrages collectifs et des revues spécialisées.

Elena Cogato Lanza was born in Vicenza in 1964. She is Maître d’enseignement et de recherche at the Laboratory of Urbanism, Faculty ENAC, EPFL, after being member of the Construction and Conservation Labo- ratory. Her field of research is characterized by the intersection between the history of urbanism and the theory of urban and landscape design. Along with her research and teaching activities, she is intensely enga- ged in the editorial field, as founder of the collection vuesDensemble for Metispresses, and as a member of various international editorial boards.
